Questions about our ironing service
Everyone’s laundry pile looks a little different, so it’s no surprise people have questions about how our ironing service works. Here are some of the things we’re asked most often. If you have something particular in mind, we’re happy to chat it through.
Our ironing is typically a take-away service – we’ll collect your basket and return your clothes freshly pressed. If we’re already providing regular in-home cleaning, we may be able to include some ironing as part of that routine – just ask.
Turnaround is usually within 24 hours. In busy periods or with larger loads, we may need up to 48 hours. We’ll always let you know when to expect your items back.
We base our pricing on basket size and garment type. Shirts, blouses, and tailored trousers often take longer than casual wear, so we take that into account. We’re happy to give you a rough estimate once we see your basket.
Yes – if you provide hangers, we’ll hang your items for you. If not, we’ll fold everything neatly so it’s ready to put away.
No – we don’t currently offer ironing for delicate or specialist fabrics such as silk or linen blends that require expert handling. For these items, we suggest using a professional dry cleaner or fabric care specialist.
